It was pretty clear that they didn't get kicked off because the kid was annoying, but because the kid was not playing by the rules. The kid sits in the assigned seat during takeoff or they don't fly, I do it, you do it, everyone does it.
Rules are rules, and these days when it comes to air travel, you either follow them or...you rent a car.
