As for Sir Greeley....you're delusional. You have some deep affection for the horse that is severly clouding your judgement. I hope he makes all your dreams come true. Good luck to that.

I was just looking back at the Past Performances for the FOY. It actually wasn't as bad as I thought. First Sam was coming off a bunch of nice races (103/98/107), Great Point and My Golden Song had just lost by a small margin to Barbaro. Rehoboth was coming off a nice allowance win. Flashy Bull was showing some promising form at the time. Jazil was in the race as well. Not a good field but nowhere near as bad as the Dwyer. I think the real question that has to be answered was what was going on at the end of the race. Were we seeing a tiring horse veering out in the stretch because he was out of gas or were we seeing a horse with a lot left that got to the lead too early and started goofing off displaying his Buckpasser genes? If it is the former then there is little reason to expect he will improve significantly off that race. If it was the latter then there is reason to believe he could be very good.
We'll see if I look delusional or not come May. I bet Sir Greeley hits the board in both and I think it is 20-1 that he wins one of them.
