If you watched Baedaker on the Sunday Los Al show, you couldn't help but notice that all of the kids in the background were hanging "get well" cards on the set. Many of those kids drove miles to get a glimpse of their hero, and Bob, being the champion he is, persevered through another magical night of handicapping. Much like the Babe hitting that homerun for that sick child, Bob made it through the first leg of the early and late Pick Four, only to bow out gracefully when his locks failed to hit the board in races 2 and 7 respectfully.
