Several factors might help you lean in favor of KD: 5 of the races have nominal purses of $1,000,000 or more, including the $3.5 million Nashville Turf; every race has a full field, most with several on the AE list; the jockeys who are riding this card sounds like a "who's who" of top riders - both Ortiz brothers, Frankie D, Rosario, Tyler G, Junior Alvarado, Geroux and Saez to name only some; list of top trainers equally impressive, and to put a cherry on top, NBC will offer two hours of network coverage on Saturday afternoon of this quirky track.
On the other hand, handicapping races at KD is extremely difficult, since it seems that some horses take to the unusual layout while others don't handle it at all. Form on other tracks doesn't seem to help very much, but if you get a winner you will generally be paid very generously.
KD is unlike any other track in the US - more like what one would encounter in Europe. Only turf, with hills and unusual turns. I understand that they have added drone cameras to make it easier to watch the races.
