Yep, supposed to return to Belmont Park in June of 2026 even though renovations will not be complete until September. Article I read says they are hoping to host the Breeders Cup in 2026.
Don't know whether the track was souped up or not. Maybe it was the horses that were souped up. One horse that definitely did not seem to be souped up was White Abarrio. I hope his trip to Saudi was not the end of him. Not sure whether that has anything to do with it or not, but it seems that some that make a trip to that part of the world are never the same. Arrogate was one, but I guess to be fair, lots of hard races probably also take their toll after a while.
