A person might play them one way when you are looking at them on paper, but another according to how the track is playing. When I saw how that horse came from the clouds to win the Whitmore, I decided to play a couple of the closers, Rated R and Beau Luminaire along with Warrior's Charge(not a closer) both over and under Plainsman. Also, didn't hurt that Rated R was the only horse, I think, in the field that had actually beaten Plainsman. Worked on Saturday, but who knows, I might have just gotten lucky. Whatever the case, I'll take it and not ask too many questions!

Something else was that I can remember when Rated R's trainer, Villafranco, won another Graded Stakes with a horse I think that was even older than Rated R. The guy seems to have luck with the senior citizen set. Wish I knew the secret. I could use something like that.
