Absolutely. That’s what I just don’t understand. Why do people complain about the cheating when they KNOW there is cheating and still wager. It’s just the nature of the sport. You have to factor that into how you wager. Back in the days when horses actually ran races and used preps as they were intended, you would learn trainer habits and what were their goals for specific races. You’d know if they had the screws tightened or if this was a race to help tighten them. You’d know if you saw the trainer’s “B” or “C” rider on a horse, they weren’t in it to win but if the main guy was up, especially if he came from out of town, it was top effort time. You knew you’d see trainers instruct riders to stiff a horse to cause a loss or a small margin of victory in order to not be saddled with extra weight the next out. It’s not much different now. Learn the players and what they do and factor that into how you wager.
