Black Eyed Susan’s Day Spots
A quick word about the “boycott” I’ve read about. No one understands the plight of the bettor more than I and I can comfortably say no one has talked about suspect trainers more than I on here (to all of your chagrin) the last few years. I just believe in due process and until the game makes the punishment for breaking the rules a deterrent and not an afterthought nothing is going to change.
7th-#1 Lucky Ramsey- been awhile since he was on grass, but his races from last year fit, has won over the course, should get lots of pace to run at and switches to a guy winning at 47% for the meet. All systems go
9th- #5 Victory Kingdom- the jock switch alone makes her a play, but she was the recipient of a textbook Leparoux ride last time and it cost her. She broke well and instead of establishing position, he was timid and she got shuffled. She put in a good run and Prat will not let her fall back in here. 3,5,9,11 in the pick 5
10th- 1,4,8,9 in the pick 5
11th- 2,3,5,6 in the pick 5
12th- #6 Prioritize- this is more of a gut feeling than anything. 12 works since February, opting for this spot when there have been many opportunities to run at home and the presence of Rosario have me thinking Prioritize is feeling good. Whether or not he’s good enough to win is another story but his best fits. Just feels like he wouldn’t be here if Jimmy Bond didn’t think he was ready. 1,2,6 in the pick 5
13th- #9 Adventuring- dam was a monster, she faced two good ones on dirt before an explosive maiden win and then followed it up with a stakes win on poly. Should fall into a good spot right off lead. Wasn’t going to...but I’m singling.
14th- #4 My Dream Girl- dam was a nice runner on grass for David Donk and has produced a good turf runner on the west coast. Not much in here and should be a fair price.
