Twin Spires runs a contest on their wagering platform and yesterday it used Race 1 at Belmont. The goal was to select the trifecta in order. The field scratched down to only 4. The favorite was 1-5 and looked like it on paper and won as she should have. Despite all of that I failed to pick the winning tri as my second place pick lost a lot of ground due to a poor start, not advisable for a 5 furlong race.
If I can't pick a tri in a 4 horse field with an odds on slam dunk favorite, I don't have a chance with a 20 horse Derby field with many question marks. [But I'll take a stab anyway]
