[Real Quiet]

Fair Grounds on Saturday gave us 5 winning wagers and four payoff spots filled. Plus the
racing was pretty good. Plenilune cashed a ticket in race 9 but fell a little short of profitability.
Fourth place points go to Cal who got back on the plus side with an exacta in the days finale.
It returned a nice $28.20 for each buck wagered. Digger gets third place with his winning
wager on Chess Chief in the 11th worth $160. Don takes second place on the day with a
$20.30 exacta in race 12. I thought long and hard about disqualifying Don since those of us
in the loop know there is only one Emmy but I guess his 20-1 second place exacta horse Two
Emmys was close enough. Roamin let out a little on the reins this week and lengthened out
on his ROI lead. Tom put it all on Hot Rod Charlie in the Louisiana Derby and the $7.80 winner
gave him a return of $390 on the day and a pretty comfortable trip to the winners circle. Last
week I said the ROI race was close and Roamin this week said "What you talkin bout Willis"
and proceeded to pound me like a super thin chicken cutlet. "You da man", Tom. Nicely played
and congrats on your win. As for odds and ends, Joly B once again proved how tough the
Pick 4 is by once again hitting three out of four and NJ Stinks made me check and double
check his wagers and results. Following are the unofficial results pending any objections.
Since I am composing this twice, mistakes are my strong suit. See you all next week as the
