It looked for a while like Laurel Park was going to be another in a long line of tracks
that provided a big challenge to our handicapping but in the end we had two winning
tickets and two point gatherers. Joly B took the lead in Race 6 with a winning bet
on Fiya in the 6th. That lead held up until the 11th race and Cal's last wager. He
played the Monday Morning QB and when he came out on top Cal was rewarded
with a $22.30 sweet exacta and a profit of $234 for an easy win. Well, an almost
easy win. Cruzan made a run at the winners circle with Baptize Boy who if you
read the chart encountered a rough trip to miss by a length. Then in the 12th
Roamin played Air Token at 7-1 and with a 5 1/2 length lead in the stretch
just ran out of gas. In the end the Laurel card provided a good contest with full
fields and a few upsets. Nicely played Cal. Congrats on the win. Following are
the results pending any claims of foul play by the scorer. See you all next week
as we are now down to two weeks in our season. At the moment Cruzan is the
only player to show an overall profit but still needs to cash a ticket or two. NJS,
Plenilune and Ruffian still have an longshots chance with the rest of us needing
