Have always wondered why serious handicappers are willing to bet on parimutuel pools 24+ hours in advance when 50% of the money comes in during the last 5 minutes.

I agree only people that play in these seem to be the serious horse players that really don't give thoughts to who their opponents are . I'd rather compete in the Saturday Pick 5's which attract casual money and large pools.
