The 30 days is nice and all but it is calendar days so they only miss 11 racing dates. Not to get on a soapbox but part of the problem in racing is the penalties don’t ever seem like a deterrent except in Dutrow’s case.
As a trainer get suspended? No big deal the horses can run in your assistants name.
As a jockey get suspended? Either appeal and take the suspension when it better suits you or get a 30 day suspension and really only serve 11 days.
