Being two hicks from Arkansas, we didn't realize the rental car we were driving was not insured to be in Mexico and that was the reason he pulled us over. He kept us there for a long time. I think he was looking for a bribe. We were in a rented Lincoln and I was wearing a $20 Rolex, I had just bought on Revolucion Boulevard so he probably thought we were rich. I guess he finally got tired of waiting for his
bribe or maybe thought we were too dumb to bribe him, and he let us go.
Lived in San Diego most of my life. Only went down to Mexico a couple of times with friends to go water skiing, but not any where near Tijuana. You are correct Cal, those federales are well known for corruption and bribes. They used stolen cars from folks in San Diego for their police vehicles!
