Yes, Plen it is just crazy anymore. I have a handgun license but am leery of actually carrying thinking I may have to use it one day. I could use it if I had to but then I may be one of the casualties. They have a very good course here I took about the dos and don't and liabilities and responsibilities if you do carry. And if you have a license you need to go to the range to make sure you can actually shoot an apple or maybe a grapefruit out of a persons hand. I am overdue for 100 rounds but visit the range fairly regularly.

They even have open carry here in Texas . . . which is very STUPID. If I have a handgun to defend myself, family and others why would I want anybody to know that. Ignorance in Texas runs deep!!! I could go on about Texas in that sense but I won't.

Anyway, I share your thoughts on safety for all and being careful and being aware of your surroundings all the time. It's too bad we have to think that way but WE DO!!!
