OK I finally figured out my brain 50% ANYWAY. The year 2002 when we where in Kentucky, Lexington etc. with grateful personal guidance I had one of my most amazing up close thoroughbred experiences (save my Storm Cat deal) with Riboletta and "friend", who I can't think of now (but will soon) at their retirement farm (memory). I was always a huge fan of Riboletta and much to my luck, while Patty and others where off visiting somewhere else I ventured off alone to a kinda remote paddock.

Much to my surprise and delight, two "mares" came running over to me on the fence line. It was like a mini race to get to me, why?, I had nothing for them to eat, I wasn't important. Were they just bored and here was a poor shmuck human who came to see us, accidently maybe??? They came running like I was the feed guy, Lucky me. I was so in awe of the beauty and strength and size of her and friend. Towering over me, magnificent in raw horse presence. I truly was AMAZED at their beauty and size and I'm sure had goosebumps on every part of my body.

They stayed with me as I talked to them much longer than I should have but they were bored and still thought I was someone special, maybe but they seemed not to care, don't know. To close I can only say I felt the pure thrill of being in the presence of truly amazing equine flesh. What a day, what an experience, what luck to hold in my little old dwindling brain of this great experience. Oh and I fed them both grass out of my hand . . . wow!!!
