6/3: Penn National (All Stakes P4; 6th-9th)
PENN NATIONAL
POST-SCRATCHES
6th: 4th Penn Oaks, 3yo-F, 1m-T (P4)
This race comes in way under the radar.. a VERY good group that is getting collectively better with experience. No shortage of pace here which gives Castellano and Adorable Miss something to run at, but Fergal Lynch and Party Boat will be rallying too. Dynatail and Spanish Harlem are both 8-1 and have big chances with former exiting 3rd in the deep Hilltop 2 weeks ago and latter returning to turf for which she was bred. Tremendous start to a great P4 sequence..
Best Value: #6 Spanish Harlem 8-1 6th
Next Best: #7 Adorable Miss 2-1 3rd
Exotics Use: #4 Party Boat 3-1 2nd
Super Add: #2 Dynatail 8-1 WON ($11.40)
7th: 47th PA Governor's Cup, 3+, 5f-T (P3, DD)
Wanted Take Cover two weeks ago in the Jim McKay and expect he'll be that much tighter now. Not sleeping on improving Mary Eppler reclamation project Oak Bluffs either here with pace set to attack..
Most Likely: #4 Take Cover 8-1 5th
Best Value: #3 Oak Bluffs 10-1 4th
Next Best: #2 Richard's Boy 2-1 WON via DQ ($3.20)
Exotics Use: #7 Rainbow Heir 5-2 3rd
8th: 6th Mountainview 3+, 9f (P3)
Virtual Machine, SCR'D stunningly moved up by Cannizzo and 2nd to Connect in the Westchester, arguably better 2-turning. Really nice 6 pack including venerable Page McKenney, Eppler's most famous claim..
Most Likely: #4 Matt King Coal 7-2 WON ($2.80)
Next Best: #5 Page McKenney 9-5 2nd
Exotics Use: #1 Madefromlucky Late SCR
9th: 5th Penn Mile (G2), 3yo, 1m-T (P3, Hollywood Hi-5)
Matz gets Time to Travel on to lawn where he should excel being full to 3x G1 (Wiley, Gamely, Diana) lawn winner Hard Not to Like. Big Score has been a model of consistency from time he debuted. Frostmourne should get a good stalk and pounce run 2nd/break for Clement..
Best Value: #3 Time to Travel 8-1 7th
Next Best: #7 Big Score 5-2 2nd
Exotics Use: #8 Frostmourne 3-1 WON ($8.40)
Super Add: #1e Three Diamonds entry 8-1 8th/9th
P4 Grid:
6: 1-2-4-6-7 (A), - (B), 3-5-8 (C)
7: 3-4 (A), 2-7 (B), 1-5 (C)
8: 4-5 (A), 1-3 (B), 6 (C)
9: 3-7 (A), - (B), 1-2-4-5-8 (C)
Simple (A+B): 5x4x4x2 = 160 x .50 = $80
All A's: 5x2x2x2 = 40 x .50 = $20
Good luck!
Steve
