Don selected Belmont and seems to be busy with real life activities, so I'm going to take the initiative on his behalf. He can fire me if he disagrees.
Many of us have already started to handicap the Belmont races and some have purchased or otherwise obtained the pp's. Changing tracks at this hour doesn't make sense to me. Besides, I looked in at some Pimlico races this afternoon and they were off the turf already and very muddy. The storm that will hit New York (and then ME
) is coming from that direction.
Until we officially hear that Belmont had cancelled, our contest is a GO. I'd recommend that you check tomorrow morning to see whether any of the turf races have been moved to the main track (they often move the lesser races to the main and leave the major stakes races on the turf courses if they can), and be prepared for LOTS of scratches.
