It is a weird post. The horse is huge, has some confirmation issues that preclude him from being the easiest horse to keep in training. He would be 5/2 maybe lower in this years KD but he was campaigned against some very special horses. Leaving the best dirt trainer EVER cant be good thing at best Sherman was going to get him back to where he was, its not like he was going to take a step forward. I dont know he was a 275k 2 year old in training grad that in other years would have been a classic winner. His derby was excellent, its not like he loved going more the 9f's. how much better could anyone have possibly done with him? He will be a stallion, perhaps Big Brown's first, and you would have to agree he had a terrific career on track. Baffert's program is to win big races at 3 and the owner certainly wasn't someone who didnt want to push to run in those races, who could blame them?

What is your point they should have backed off after the derby? Maybe? He didnt even really run in Preakness to win IMO. I dont know but he sure didnt send like he had in all his other races? Your post seems to suggest Baffert did something wrong? I do not see anything wrong based on what they did or didnt do, what are we missing?
