Joey I thought Id explain myself. Favorites are losing at a 65% clip in Graded 8.5 furlong races this year. I hit these Graded Stakes 1x3x3 pick 3's at a 15%clip so what I am trying to do is look 10x my investment. I thought the first 2 legs were more ripe for the price and figured If Cupid who was my 2nd choice wins I wasnt going to get my 10x. Not singling dramatically increases my ticket cost. I am not against singling a favorite if I have a couple of big prices included in prior legs. I have been playing much better when focusing on managing investment by singling at least one leg. Accepting that I can hit a 1x2x2 pick 3 8% of the time a 1x1x5x5x5 pick 5 5% of the time and 15% of the graded was easier once I hit a big pick 5 so I didn't have to suffer a big drawdown. The positives are you dont give it right back but the downside is you feel like a tool as you are losing most of your bets. I picked this strategy up watching Pointman and Knicks here in the selections thread with thier 1x2 Doubles and modified it.
