I sent them an email over a week ago and no reply. A Bloodhorse story said the stewards are looking into it, but I'm not sure that involves the payout, but the confusion over the placings. More than likely it's something that would get attention from the State Racing Commission.
Errors happen. There is a lot of moving parts on any race involving humans and machines in order to pay off all these races every day.
I just think they should be a bit more forthcoming. They announced they were paying both the incorrect super and the correct one, but never explained where the payouts came from. Was the pool split ? Did NYRA kick in to pay the real winner ? If so, that is something I would commend them on. Even if it was not their fault, pay the customers and sort it out later.
These are some of the things in horseracing that I see could be done in a much better way.
