Santa Anita on Saturday followed the old adage. "It was the best of times, It was the worst of times.
Before I get into the good and bad news, first a few observations on some wagers this week.
JolyBuffian missed his hunch bet on the Moose but hit a home run when he hit a straight exacta
55 times. Unfortunately it was 1960 and Joly was playing the Pirates and could not get the win.
Joly's exacta only returned $99 total. NJ Stinks is sending his bets from Jolly Old England and
was spotted enjoying a pint with a friend. Unfortunately NJ's friend had more than a few pints
before the races and staggered home fourth. NJ's bud was reported to be Heart to Heart and
seemingly he can't hold his liquor. Criminal Type had one winning prognostication. He said
To The Bar in race 11 was where he'd go with his picks and to the bar is where he went. And
CT.....no bet on Cowboy in race 11? That was a gimme that you and Ruff would pick the same
horse for the first time ever. Now the bad news. This kinder, gentler scorer was forced to DQ
this weeks winner. Indian Hemp hit a superfecta in race 10 worth $584 but wagered too much
on the card. Fourth place goes to SwedeTRI. In race 10 he hit a nice one for $162. The show
spot goes to Digger with a winning $4 payout on Horse Greedy. The number two spot goes to
our spot on point scorer Plenilune who had a $50 win bet on Bombard in the second. Last
week CT zoomed by Ruffian in the ROI and this week Ruffian returned the favor by getting
win number 6 on the year by tabbying Reflected Star in race 8. Nice going Ruff. Following are
