I would never claim to be able to interpret every song out there, I was mostly speaking to the way songs are crafted and structured -- and how Repent's logic in figuring that becuase it does not say "father" it is not about a "father" was terribly flawed and the exact sort of reasoning any random second-grader would use in trying, for the first time, to interpret poetry. |

It is about something specific but it's pretty random.
Much as I like Pearl Jam, by the way, figuring out what their songs are about is usually fairly simple.
