Repent, your notion of how songwriting works is inherently flawed in insinuating that a song cannot be about something if that word is not literally in it.
Alanis Morissettes famous "You Oughta Know" is about an
ex-boyfriend. It never, in the lyrics, says
ex-boyfriend -- but any non-deaf nitwit could figure that out.
