Exactly, and when they turned for home I thought come on Snow Chief, there was no way in my mind he couldn't catch the filly with the fractions she set, than it became quite obvious Melair was not quitting, and the crowd started to clap and cheer her on home, it was a very poignant memory because everyone knew we had seen something very special. I ran to get a good look at Melair, she was so full of herself even after the race, just had a great air about herself. I don't believe she ever ran again though.

I also remember another fleeting fast and shortlived filly named Creme Brulee, do you remember her? I think she was owned by Klugman?
