I was at OP for the Festival of Racing when Valhol got buzzed and Patin got some big time coverage on ESPN.
What I loved was that everyone in the hotel had their DRF's out for breakfast, and everyone was so nice!
OP seems like the Wrigley Field of racing to me. Hard not to like the place!
I think you are right. I don't imagine that the weather here in Hot Springs is much different than where you live in Georgia. If golf is your thing, then I think you would have a goodly number of places to play here. In addition to the courses mentioned in Hot Springs Village, Hot Springs itself has a couple of country clubs. It's true that racing is only here from January until April, but this is not one of those places where you can't have account wagering. Oaklawn itself has it's own account wagering it calls Oaklawn Anywhere which looks at lot like Twinspires and of course you can get Xpressbet, Twinspires and others.
