In 2012, in a speech at an event called “Celebration of Creation,” he said that Darwin came up with evolutionary theory because the devil made him do it.
I mean that literally. He said, “I personally believe that this theory that Darwin came up with was something that was encouraged by the adversary.” The Adversary is a nickname for the devil; it’s the actual translation of the word “Satan.” So there’s that.
so...were carson to meet the pope, i wonder how that convo would go regarding evolution? probably would be quite interesting.
and he's a great example of how some people want our schools to teach 'science' instead of science.
the earth is not young, creationism isn't science, evolution explains the diversity of life rather than its creation, and carson is full of ish.
