Quiet frankly he will get a better book of mares at 30(which i suspect there is some leeway on if you have a good mare) then he would at 100.
Thats the point. Folks who are looking to toss 100 grand at a sire look in most cases for a sire with commercial or sales bang. Which often means 1st or 2nd year sires who don't have a record with runners yet but who have a lotta hype.
People breeding at the 25K range will swing the bat on one who doesnt sire flashy speedballs but who may get you a home run horse.
PG's sire got a bad rap for a while. Thunder Gulch was considered a failure, until folks realized that me may get you a home run who can stretch out and go farther than 5f.
Point Given is 2nd only to Aptitude in 2nd crop sires.
