Yes, good to see him get his head in front, I saw the race. But in fairness to the horse, he beat nothing here. This was as close to a walkover as it gets. Wish another progressive horse would have run against him in order to gauge his ability. He set a slow/moderate pace and it was "catch me if you can", which none of these was ever going to do. This was the type of race I said he could win in an earlier posting. Glad to see that his owners finally "woke up".
Particularly good, because it had a decent purse for a minor venue like Fakenham. I'm sure he could win another little one or two like this before his gets a hurdles rating. Then, who knows if he will be able to compete handicaps.
