I think that the ground loss that AP had is being overblown. He was kept outside in the clear without having dirt kicked in his face, basically the same race that Espinoza rode with California Chrome last year and a very good trip.
That tactic can cause a very different result in the Belmont. We still have no proof that AP can take dirt in his face.
