Let me expand on that....this entire move could inadvertantly turn out to be pure genius, as it will keep him from being completely exposed, and provide them, and now the breeding partners, with a convenient excuse for future failure ( "oh, he never recovered from his world tour" ).
In my opinion, Bayern is a better horse, and it's not clear there aren't others from his generation that surpassed him, not to mention this potentially strong 3YO class. He ran a couple of decent, but hardly spectacular, races to begin 2015. He might well have improved going deeper into the year with a more sane gameplan, but let's stop deluding ourselves into thinking he was ever more than a very good horse. In time, he will be remembered as a CA bred that won the Derby with some owners that did some notably goofy things.
