rest in peace Gene, your boogying to Milton Delugg and the band with a Thug was some of the best TV ever. Love their version of Basie's Jumpin at the Woodside. Gene was loved by many. The gong Show was really the original American Idol when you watch American Idol at the beginning.
Seem to remember a big black hoss named Basie.....a mudder if I remember correctly
