Decent-looking sophomore at Fair Grounds

Chestnut colt by Mr. Greeley named Ketchikan. $500k purchase at two, won by 4 3/4 in the slop going 5 1/2 last out, won by a few lengths pretty easily today going a mile in 1:37 and change. B. Wayne Hughes owns, Al Stall trains.

Thanks for the heads up, Joey... I'm adding him to my stable mail. Haven't seen him run, but I like his pedigree.

i had him today $50 to win, nice horse, but he beat nothing. i was shocked he wasent the favorite thats why i only bet $50 on him, thought they were possibly playing games down there.

I don't think it was a bad field at all.

When he went to that sale he should have brought more...he was a really good looking colt...but being a may foal he just mentally wasn't ready for the sale environment...he behaved like an absolute pig all week...

Did you see kentuckyderby.com? The "Southern" guy on there wrote an article about him saying he wished he hadn't already picked his RTTR horses, or he would have included him.

Looks like he was impressed too.

On another site there was a contest where you had 2 million to purchase three 2y olds. Your picks were then followed during their 2y old season and the winner was the one who earned the most money. Ketchikan was one of my horses there. He did not do so good as a 2y old, and the contest fell apart anyway.:D
