Leparoux cannot hang with the big boys...

plain and simple, this guy tries stepping his game up and he just can't do it, I don't know if it is because he isn't getting the best horse anymore or what it is, but he has been down right bad as of late. All he does is soak money, and give very very questionable rides. Anyone else agree with me.

He did better than usual at Santa Anita this weekend...but yeah I was saying he would fall off considerably after he lost the bug. It's hard to boast because he's pulling a Half-A-Dominguez staying at Turfway.

no

Can't hang with the big boys? He definitely is one of the big boys on turf.

Gander 02-05-2007 05:20 PM

He gave Dover Dere a nice ride yesterday :D

2Hot4TV 02-05-2007 05:30 PM

Disagree, if he has some horse he is in the right spot for me. I don't care who the rider is if your horse comes up empty at the 1/4 pole.

MISTERGEE 02-05-2007 05:34 PM

Funny He Always Seemed Like A Miracle Worker Rider For Me. I Have Not Watched Him Recently Though. He Would Improve Everyone He Got On . You Could Make Money Playing Against Him At A Place Like Turfway Because Even When He Was On A Donkey He Would Be 6-5

The Bid 02-05-2007 05:55 PM

Only problem is he gets the donkeys home too

IrishofNDMan 02-05-2007 06:27 PM

he gets the donkeys home, at Santa Anita?? HAHAHA that is the funniest thing. YEAH RIGHT!!! He is terrible there. Go back to Turfway, he isn't even on Menas level.

IrishofNDMan 02-05-2007 07:15 PM

I agree that iin 3-5 years he may be one of the best, but until then we need to stop giving him so much praise.

The Bid 02-05-2007 07:20 PM

You sure we are watching the same kid Irish?

We are talking about Julien Leparoux?

When I said he gets the donkeys home too.... it was in response to Mistergee.

If you dont think that kid can ride you havent watched many races. Mena couldnt wash that kids shorts, not even in the same league. Infact there may be 2 or 3 riders in California full time who could even be mentioned in the same breath, and one of them rides 3 months a year (P Val), the other is an arrogent buffoon (Nakatani), one is incredible (Gomez)

"I don't know Lloyd the french are a$$holes"

i think he's a talented young rider. But, im really interested to see if fellow frenchmen Bianconne still gives him first call on his horses after he loses the bug

The Bid 02-05-2007 07:28 PM

Guys, when he won all those stakes as a bug he carries the weight. This kid is no unpolished, average rider.

POINTGIVEN1985 02-05-2007 07:36 PM

the kid is a very good rider, soon to be great

i cannot belive some of the things im reading on this site about this kid i watched him tear saratoga up this summer bug or not hes already one of the big boys

IrishofNDMan 02-05-2007 09:53 PM

How can you bash Nakatani, I think he is one of the best in the game no doubt. I always get my moneys worth when I bet him.

I don't know about NDhomer, but I don't like him because he's french.
