If I had tons of money I would put up a million $$ and sponsor a match race down the hill between Shadow of Illinois and Jungle Prince :eek:

hell...we could shorten it up and bring in Placido too. I got a work notice from him last week too. Went 37 and change over the dirt at Gulf

We'll make it a 4 horse field and keep it down the hill at 6 1/2. Heres my ML:

Placido 5/1
D Money 8/1

Placido would set the pace..and could get away with an easy lead..but I think 6 1/2 is too far for him. JP would win by 3/4 over a fast closing D Money.

I still remember the day you called me about Jungle Prince. Was 3rd in that blanket finish in the Morvich Handicap. Shadow was in that race too, but finished a beaten 8th. They made a huge jock switch to PVal next out for him in the Impressive Luck Hand and was still sent off at 18-1 and lost by a nose at the wire to Siren Lure.

Had no idea Shadow of Illinois was still racing at age 11. Was still running mid 90's beyers at the age of 9 while reeling off 3 wins in a row. He is entered Friday night at Hollywood. What a great old guy.:tro:

Just checked Formulator and at age 9, he race 9 times with 5 wins, 3 Places, 1 Show.
