NJ Account Wagering - What Gives?

I live in New Jersey and have a NJ wagering account with the NJSEA. I get nothing back for having this account and I don't think there is a rewards program associated with it. Several years ago NJ legalized account wagering, but apparently only for accounts with the NJSEA.

I tried opening a TVG account on Saturday to take advantage of a Promo open an account wager $50 and get 50 deposited into you account. I reasoned that since TVG had recently signed an agreement to broadcast races from the Big M and Monmouth I would now be able to open an account. I figured cool I can bet the Magna 5 for free. WRONG. Living in NJ precludes me from opening a TVG account.

Does any one know why I can not have an account with TVG but can have one with NJSEA, other than the obvious (Politcal Bull Crap) Isn't this a violation of my Constitutional Rights, Isn't this somehow interfering with interstate commerce?

What are other people doing?

You dont want me to get on my NJ Betting SOAP BOX....
UNTIL they open these OTB...{which is taking about a year} to make a
bet (except the meadowlands/NJ thing ) ..you need to go to a race track or AC casino's.. and the casinos could care LESS about horse racing fans $$$$... It really sucks to see some wonderful picks on this site... (and VERY good picks $$$$$) and say.... Da** if I could of make that pick... The Vineland
OTB has been ""under construction"" since december ( a old car dealership) and should be done in eight more weeks, I dont know about any other sites in the state of NJ...

Its an awful system and I won't use it. There is a rewards program with the Bigm but its peanuts. And you can't sign up for Youbet in NJ either. And with Pinny going down for the US the options for those of us in this state are even more limited. Welcome to the People's Republic of China.

I heard something about an OTB being close to opening in Toms River, but I think the "Locals" were fighting it because horse players are "degenerates" and or "seedy" characters. So much for a diverse society.

I'm am beginning to get real sick of the BS in NJ. I think if I could convince my wife to move I would do so in a heartbeat.

But until then I'll have to grin an bear it I suppose. At least I can use my NYRA One account when I go to the NYRA tracks, unfortuantely I don't get to the track often enough to wager enough in a month to attain the rewards.

Yes this state stinks for the horse racing betting person. They can let a child mol. live in your town, but Godforbid you make a $5.00 win bet on a horse from your home computer. The worst part is the OTB was approved back 2 years ago...and NO places open yet...... Since then Pa now has slots @ their race tracks.... Dont get me wrong I love to go to the track, but since Garden State & Atlantic City (except for ONE daytime week )are gone, the only tracks in the south jersey area are in Penn. & Delaware..... GO FIGURE ...
