The Decision Maker

The current situation is setting up to be quite interesting.
Yes, the President is the "commander-in-chief".
However, I predict that there might be some in Congress that do not wish to abbrogate their oversite powers.
It should become more interesting in the next few days, especially if the people that oppose current policies show up in the freezing cold on Saturday, Jan. 27, to again express the way they voted on Nov 7, 2007.
This is not over.
My hope is that the constraints expressed within the Constitution are recognised, and that a "nation of the people, by the people, and for the people", shall not be usurped by anyone that designs himself as a dictator, and that the will of the people "shall not perish from this Earth".

We'll have to see what happens on Sat...hollywood doesn't run this show.
And yes, there are two very good chili recipes in the cookbook.
Check out the menu. Good stuff!
Lady Bug Chili on page 2 is just about as good as you can get.

This seems to be heating up...not just the Dems. Arlen Spector had a lot to say today. This is becoming interesting.

Congress has no guts. None. They could stop this war tomorrow, not even saying they should. But if you want to shake a rattle everyday at the President you might as well put your money where your mouth is. And according to the Constitution, Congress controls the loot. They can end it right now.
