SA 6th Breakdown

Man, there must have been a real serious breakdown as they are delaying the 7th race for ever. Hope everyone/horse is OK.

I'm not sure if the horse broke down. I think she may have just collapsed.

I'm glad she is alright. That is great news.

This post was actually supposed to be in response to Hickory's post.

Kinda good news for a change

"Thumps".. With the horse in the clear, we should turn our attention to Martin Garcia, who hit the ground with her and is off his mounts..

Didn't see the race but looked at the chart notes as a result of this thread. Appears she dueled to exhaustion and led until midstretch. Never fails to amaze me how gutsy some of these animals are.

Couldn't find anything recent on the web about the jock other than this article saying he was taken to the hospital. Anyone know how he is?

Thanks. Didn't say what Garcia's injuries were, if any. Was wondering if he's okay and if he'll be riding today.

Sightseek 01-15-2007 02:21 PM

Garcia was hospitalized for precautionary and may be off his mounts for a week.

Get well soon!

Yes, Garcia is off and the horse was shipped to Hollywood Park last night and is doing well.
