Do the tourist thing and go to the museum. A marvelous way to spend a few hours.

skippy3481 06-16-2006 09:22 AM

the museum is cool. Lot of history in that bulding. In the back they have like a riding simulator. Made me realize how strong those jockeys legs are.

Exceller 06-16-2006 09:23 AM

Definitely go to the Museum. I doubt it, but maybe they have the Barbaro film up already. I don't think Churchill allows people in for the morning works other than derby week, which is pretty lame, but there might be some tour of the backside.

I suggest to get there early. Go to the museum. Find a good place to sit and watch the races. If will be pretty crowded on Saturday so get there early.

Also bet Wild Dessert in the Stephen Foster.

I thought I read Wild Desert will probably be scratched somewhere, think it was DRF but I"m not sure.

Love how the name shows up...LOL

It was DRF, not definite

Trainer Richard Dutrow Jr. entered both Love of Money and Wild Desert but said he most likely will scratch the latter, saying Love of Money may be enough to carry the stable banner.

Pointg5 06-16-2006 09:39 AM

Stephen Foster day is the best day to go to Churchill, it's not crowded at all and you get to see a great day of racing.

disrespectnfool 06-16-2006 10:09 AM

Thanks guys! But looks like I won't be getting to the track until around 3. Hopefully in time to load up on Obi Wan Kenobi in the Jefferson.
