Threading Track Selections: a plea from Scavs

How about we start 'threading' our selections per track. On the OLD Youbet Message board, every morning the first person that got on there would post something like this

"Santa Anita 1/1"

and on big days

"Gulfstream Park Florida Derby Day"

And then we 'all' post all our picks under it. Yesterday and today, there must have been a thread started for EVERY race at Santa Anita and Aqueduct. It makes it more organized and also lets more congratulations for people that deserve them. Just a thought to help us all pick more winners.

good idea tom...I made it sticky for you so people won't miss it:)

AeWingnut 01-01-2007 06:01 PM

Good idea

so how should we post when we are just thinking about a race out loud.
Keep it to ourselves?

I'm all hopped on cough syrup

Scav 01-01-2007 06:04 PM

Dude, it just makes more sense, plus it will help people that are following picks to play those picks....if someone wants to see who people like in the 9th at Santa Anita, they go to the Santa Anita thread and see what people are saying, they don't have to look through two pages of stuff before they find what they are looking for

I hear you. Some of it is my fault. You have to remember I'm a newbie.

AeWingnut 01-01-2007 06:06 PM

I agree I also believe that my rambling non-sense will cause there to be several pages under a single thread

That's OK John.. Everyone is accustomed to that from years of GPK's multi-page ramblings..

Stevo...I stand by the fact that the conversations I have with myself tend to be the most intelligent ones I have throughout the day:D

Just caught your "plea" and was an offender today. I'm with the program and will become a reformed poster.

I was posting on YOUR thread today because it had the whole card posted, and NO ONE else was listening. Trust me, I want nothing more but for this to become more organized...

There is no more YouBet message board.

Aqueduct Friday 1/26

Today's cold out will probably save me plenty of money, but I was looking forward to participating at this list that I discovered yesterday.

I'll list my selections (horses for you to avoid) tomorrow.

Aqueduct Saturday 1/27

RACE 3 #2 STARHUMOR
has everything in place, except an out of town Coa, to finally beat this condition. The lead and inside posts have been OK this week at this distance, he controlled ICANROLL in his last. We will find out what the long freshener an lasix will do for COLORS OF ART, but I don't think that he will last.

The feature race will make for better watcing than wagering, but if I can't sit still at post time, I will be consumed by "short field, long price" and the possibility of a chalky speed dual early. Given fluke fractions up front (possible with jockeys switches on the top two) PAVO's current form is not bad on this strip.

You don't have to post picks on this thread, I was talking about below these where people have 10 Santa Anita posting and such, things have gotten alot better lately.

Welcome to the board
