Downthestretch55 05-30-2006 09:25 AM

It's a great site, Paul.
Good to see you here.

Secretariat 05-30-2006 09:32 AM

you out for the summer ALREADY

Downthestretch55 05-30-2006 10:51 AM

No, they gave us an unused "snow day". I'm done June 14.

Don't know if I told you...Makeitright is going to ship up to Toga from the training facility on Long Island. He should run well.

Secretariat 05-30-2006 12:55 PM

is that the unraced three year old with jerkens ?

Downthestretch55 05-30-2006 01:06 PM

Yes. Makeitright is unraced. My partner on him is Joey D. who works for Jim J. Hope there's a stall for him.
Makeitright's big brother, Darbay's Valentine was a winner for Bobby Ringhoff at Finger Lakes. Now Darbay's Valentine is coming back to the farm for retraining. He's out of the same sire, Gold Miner's Gold, and same mare, Darbay.
I wish you could see Darbay's new colt. He's by Daygata (Dayjur).
Very correct. Runs for fun in the pasture. His full sister, Darlin' by Day is a yearling filly now. She has the "look".
We'll see how this adventure plays out.

Downthestretch55 05-30-2006 02:20 PM

I just tried to do that but the jpg files are too big, so they wouldn't upload.
I'll e-mails some pics to you, maybe you can get them to load.

Downthestretch55 05-30-2006 02:45 PM

I e-mailed them. Let me know if you got them.
If you can atach them off the e-mail on to this thread, it would be cool.

Secretariat 05-30-2006 03:04 PM

no i could not upload them, send a personal message to steve
so he knows the problem, but i wouldn't expect to see it fixed soon as he is prolly real busy with this.

Secretariat 05-30-2006 03:11 PM

i had just replied to steves email and asked him about increasing the file size to 100kb

Downthestretch55 05-30-2006 03:12 PM

OK Paul, thanks for trying.
At least you got to see what some of them look like.

Secretariat 05-30-2006 03:20 PM

Downthestretch55 05-30-2006 03:34 PM

Oh YEAH!!!
When I first saw him I knew he'd be good.
One of the nicest ones I've seen.
It's really nice to pick the sire (Daygata was sold to Seymore Cohen's Merrylegs for 500K). He never raced as he got hurt before his first start.
I took a chance with him after I saw him in person.
He's thrown some runners. Then the eleven month wait....so worth it!
What I liked about him, besides his outstanding conformation, was that his granddad was Alydar, just what I was looking for genetics wise for Darbay.
There's Videogirl's post about owning one.
Heck, I own eight. And what should be a good one on the way.
I'm thinking of forming my own LLC.
Incentives for NY breds are pretty good. If you haven't read about them, go to nybreds.com.
If you or any other posters here want a share of one, I could set something up for you. I'll sell 10% shares, probably around 3K.

Thanks John,
I hope you come to Toga this summer. It should be the best...
best horses, best track.
And you get to meet up with some people you read about but haven't seen.
I look forward to it.
If I get my pic taken at Finger Lakes, I'll post it here.
Wayne
