PLEASE NOTE: Site Functions..

With the move to the new server, we're obviously still having some problems.. Different problems, but problems...

Want to alert everyone that so far we're aware of the strange Thread Views issues, and loss of Posts and PM's...

If you're able to see this, then please record what odd function issue you've had and the time it occured. The change could very well still be in progress internally asw it normally takes 12-24 hours for these changes. Knowing what happened and when will help us straighten things out with the host if they don't straighten themselves out overnight...

Thanks for your patience..

Steve

I know there was one point on thoroughbrednet when there was a time warp and we lost about 3 weeks worth of posts. Might want to ask War Emblem about what happened there. I know he never recovered them so we should probably be glad it was only one days worth of posts lost rather than 3 weeks.

Hysterical blindness maybe?

About 15 - 20 minutes ago I saw only threads from around 4-5pm, and then boom everything in a matter of moments was back to normal.

Steve,

An example. Around 1 hour ago I posted a reply to your Derby Trail Partnership thread. It no longer exists.

Fascinating.. I wonder if somehow that's a function of browser(s)?

I just noticed that I went from 1,111 posts to 1,110 before...

paisjpq 12-12-2006 07:33 PM

Very interesting problems... I received this e-mail:

To: ewueagle33@yahoo.com
Subject: New Private Message at Derby Trail Forums

Dear DerbyCat,

You have received a new private message at Derby Trail Forums from T3B.
Please click here to log in and read it:

All the best,
Derby Trail Forums

I went to check for the PM... and it's nowhere to be found! I clicked on the link and I don't have any new messages, then I tried logging onto http://derbytrail.com also and still nothing... and it doesn't have any record of two PM's I sent around 7:30 pm west coast time (one being the one I sent to T3B)...

My guess is the PM's are somewhere with the sock that I couldn't find after doing the laundry this weekend

yeah....crazy things are happening. I just noticed that the edits I made to the Tampa Pick 4 thread, showing the finish position in red, are no longer there. The post is back to its original form.

Update..

Thanks again to War Emblem for edification on what's been happening.. BOTH versions of the site are active, the 'old and busted' shared server version and the 'new hotness' VPS version.. As I mentioned Tuesday, it will take 12-24 hours for the switch to be complete, and that is accounting for the bizarre posting and oddball views we are all getting.. Hang in there as we're rounding the turn for home and should hit the wire later Wednesday!
