Broodmare question

Is there any way to find out what has become of one of my favorite horses? Whether or not she has any progeny yet, and if so, by whom? They are not listed on the only pedigree site I look at.

Her name is Mckinney. And she was my favorite, and I want to know where and when to watch for her babies to race -- because it should be about time next year maybe?

Nothing yet

If her progeny had been Nominated to the Breeder's Cup program, you can put the date of birth and Dam's Name on their search site.

She has a yearling filly by Mutakddim.

Mutakddim is the sire of Lady Tak among others

www.pedigreequery.com will give you progeny of any horse for future reference.

yea, that was the site i normally use -- and i didn't find anything for her. based on when she stopped racing though, she could very well have had one already, but it didn't show up there yet.

thanks for the info -- i bet that one from mutakkdim is going to be a good one, i always liked her breeding and the versatility she showed.

the problem with pedigree query is that the foal won't show up until it has been named...which for a lot of foals isn't until after they go through the 2YO in training sales.

Here is the nomination page if you want to bookmark it:

https://nominations.breederscup.com/...5&dam=McKinney

Racing Post is awesome if you have Europeon bred horses you would like more info on.

Ooooh and one by Theatrical from this year!!!

Her breeding screams turf, but she was quite good on the dirt.

Balletto 12-11-2006 01:49 PM

She actually has a ton of backclass in her female family. Her 3rd dam and beyond were not only excellent French racemares, they were also top French producers... from a very strong and consistent family.

If she can throw that back quality into her foals, there's a lot of room for her to be a very nice producer. She's being bred...

I'm hoping. This is the first time that I am actually going to get to see a horse race that is OUT of a favorite female horse of mine.

She was beautiful too -- if I can find some pictures that I took of her at Hawthorne in the Sixty Sails, I'll post some. She won the Bayakoa at Oaklawn too, for what it's worth.

And hey....,

Is this character posting here under the name Repent possibly a younger brother of yours?

His avatar bears a striking resemblance of what you might have looked like before time, and all those cigarettes and Dr. Peppers started to catch up with you.

And.....I also noticed a Pearl Scam quote in his siggy.
