I'm going to be taking a short break
 

To my handicapping friends,

I wanted all of you to know that I'm going to be taking what I hope will be a relatively short break from this forum and our weekly handicapping contests.

For the past several months I have had the uncomfortable sense that what I have been doing each week has been more of a chore than something that gives me pleasure. I'm hoping that getting a freshening will change that and let me compete with and against all of you with the same enjoyment that I have had in the past. I like this activity too much to let it become work.

Hope to be back fairly soon. In the meantime, as a very good friend and fellow horseplayer recently said to me, "may the horse be with you."

We all need a refresher now and again. Enjoy your time at the farm and hope to see you back on the race track whenever you are ready.

We'll be missing you, JolyB, but glad you'll be getting some R&R. See you again soon.
