The year started off with a bang thanks to Digger. 3 players cashed tickets, two showed a profit
and claimers were the stars of the day. The fields were mostly filled and there were a fair share of
upsets and chalk. Blunny had a winner but missed the point board. Ruffian finished second with
one of her lowest mutuels in years. Still and all she ecked out a double digit winner and wound up
$50.90 to the good. Digger however took us to the mat with a big opening day win. He put $100
to win on Nation in the 9th and a nice $15.64 payout gave Dig a $682 profit on the year and a
stellar start to his 2026 campaign. And that's why Digger is still our overall lifetime ROI leader.
