Question about a horse today for anyone who wants to answer.

Sharon Horizons is 2/1 ML in Race 3, a maiden claiming race that’s 1 mile on the inner turf. Brown/Prat.

I put in formulator to see how Chad does with first time starters, on turf, in claiming races and DRF says Chad hasn’t put a horse in a MCL race on turf as a FTS in the last 5 years. Am I filtering it wrong? That seems so unlikely.

I spoke too soon. Figured it out. Putting simply “claiming” as the class messed it up. I switched it to “maiden claiming,” and it shows Chad has had 21 starters in the last 5 years who meet that criteria with only 2 winners and 9 ITM. The last horse to win for him in a MCL on turf in their first start was Control Function about 4 years ago.
