ROI Results 7/19 @ Monmouth
 

Outside of the Haskell Stakes with it's bang bang finish our group could have skipped the rest of the
Monmouth card. All the damage was done in the 12th. Cal hit a super but fell short of profitability.
Digger gets the show slot with a $5 profit with a bet on Journalism. Joly B gets second with a $16
trifecta array in the Haskell worth a nice $204.80 usually a total good enough to win. However
Indian Hemp came loaded for bear and while sometimes you eat the bear, Saturday Indian Hemp
the bear got us. IH played a $52 straight tri in the Haskell and he nailed it for a grand total
of $665.60 and a profit on the day of $575+ and win number 6 on the year. This week easily put
IH up over $1000 for this years ROI and he continues to “give it the gas” and try to put the rest
of us away. Congrats on the win Bart. Nicely played once again. Check your scores. I spent
time this morning correcting a mistake I made and where there's one there could be more.
Next week I am on vacation so I will not post any ROI results until I get back on August 4th.
Since the points winner posts the venue it will just be a weeks delay. Wouldn't want to be MIA

Congrats on your ROI win, Indian Hemp. I was very impressed by the boldness of your wager, nailing the Haskell trifecta in a single cold shot.

Playing Journalism on top as a single is completely understandable and I'm sure many did the same. What made your wager so impressive to me was the confidence you showed in putting Gosger alone in the second slot and Goal Oriented alone in the third slot. I struggled long and hard over how to separate the two of them and Burnham Square as well. Didn't see a lot of wiggle room between the three of them. Went through a lot of "on the one hand....on the other hand." I think I placed too much emphasis on the need to "have it" by covering the likely probabilities rather than expressing my opinion in a single bold pop.

If you ever decide to give seminars, please let me know so that I can enroll.:)
