ROI Results 5/10 @ BAQ

It was a tough day for our bettors at Aqueduct Saturday featuring the Peter Pan and Ruffian stakes. And no
it was not named for our Ruffian. Digger however flew by everyone and got win # 3 on the year with a
winning wager on his tongue in cheek wager Captain Hook. The payout gave Digger a profit of $10
which was good enough for a win and the ROI points. Joly “Quinella” B gave Digger a run at the top spot
but the best laid plans are often led astray. JB hit his wager but missed profitability. On a related note the 10
cent superfecta in the same race, the Man O War, paid .57 cents, one of the lower payouts I've seen.
Next Saturday we are off to Baltimore for the Preakness another $200 stake day and that can either be
a blessing or a curse. Following are the unofficial results pending any miscues on my part. There were
numerous scratches so check your scores for errors on my part. I couldn't check scratches Saturday
and that wiped out two of my bets. Congrats on the win Digger. Nicely played.

WIN... Digger... +$110.00... R11) # 8 ( SHOW $100 ) $2.20 X 50... $110.00

Joly B -$10.00 R 2: $50 Quinella 3 with 1,4 $1.80 X 50... $90.00

Real Quiet -$33.00

Cal828 -$90.00

Ruffian -$100.00

Indian Hemp -$100.00

I was astounded how much the combination of Far Bridge and Anglophile was pounded in the final couple of clicks, both in the exacta and quinella pools. Prior to that, there was a symmetry between Far Bridge with Anglophile and with Capture the Flag, similar to how they were in the win pool. I was aware that some of the robo wagering syndicates attack the exacta pools in the final click, but up until this point I thought that the quinella pool was immune to those entities, too small to be of interest. I guess that was an incorrect assumption. I'm just glad that I can do my "living and learning" in our ROI contest and not with my own bankroll.

That's interesting. I guess today nothing is immune to robo betting. Doesn't matter whatever the wager is but I guess it spots overlays. It's another way that makes profitability more challenging.
