ROI Results 5/3 @ Churchill Downs

The Run to the Roses is over for another year and in a fairly exciting race Sovereignty is the 3 year old
champion pro tem. All of the winning wagers made this week included him on the tickets in one way or
another. Cal hit the Oaks / Derby Double but fell a little short of making a profit. In my opinion, with big
fields, that double came back a little light. Digger gets second place with a wager on the winner worth
$558, a pretty decent return but way short of this weeks winner. Indian Hemp nailed Sovereignty to
win and place and for the second straight week romped in our ROI contest with a profit this week of
$1073 and became the new ROI leader. This win was number 4 on the year for IH. Congrats
on your back to back wins and for nailing the Derby. Nicely played. Following are the unofficial
results pending any inquiry. Check your scores. There were a few scratches and double the bets
so I could be missing something. Hope to see you all next week wherever we
may roam.

Great job IH and Digger. Not sure what youi saw in Soverneignty to win but you both nailed it, with IH hitting straight exacta. EXCELLENT!

the numbers were all there, distance and off going, and his turn of foot rivaled Journalism...didn't need to win his last and ran well from the horrid post at GP...set him up and he looked great training...perhaps Tappan Street would have bene right there...

just my 2c....that wound up right for a change...

A very simple, uncomplicated play that we all could do well to emulate. Kudos on the win.:tro::$::$:

Personally, I had a terrible day up until the Derby. Lost nearly a hundred in the Pat Day alone and very nearly called it a day before the Derby, but said hell with it. It only comes around once a year, might as well go ahead and play. Glad I did and probably a lesson in that. Hit the exacta and the tri in the Derby. The only time in many years of play that I have done that.

Very nice hits, you guys! My horses ran second, third and 4th in the Derby. The winner nailed me good. Banishing's trip hurt me too.

Tough sport for sure. :wf
