What time do the polls come out?

I thought it was 10:30 but I can't seem to find it anyplace.
I'm interested to see how the guys who had USC at number two shifted their votes.

I just went through all the computer rankings and it looks like it will be a dead heat and it will come down entirely to the polls. The Sagarin is updated and Michigan holds #2. Florida was already ahead in the Colley and the Massey so will certainly be #2 in them. I also think the margin was small enough in the Anderson Hester for Florida to take #2. The margin looks big enough in the Wolfe and Billingsley ratings for Michigan to hold #2. So that would make three #2s for each team among the six ratings. That would mean they will both get .940 for the computer component of the BCS and the national championship will be determined by the computer polls. Last week Michigan led 1445 - 1405 and 2614 - 2528 in the two human polls.

Thats what the guy on the radio said as well.
Said its in the hands of the voters and could come down to a few votes, and an attempt to screw one team by a writer who wants to see a certain team get in, by placing either Fla or Mich further down than number 3 could decide it.
This is going to be the closest one we've ever seen. razor thin margin.

Yeah, I really hope no one drops either Michigan or Florida in their rankings to try and manipulate it. They should lose their right to vote if they pull something like that. It is one thing if a writer has Louisville or Boise St over Florida all year but another if they suddenly move them ahead this week after Florida beats Arkansas. I wonder if they won't release the polls today until 7 when they announce the BCS?

I'm gonna guess thats the case.
Normally they would be out by now.
No doubt a few writers will attempt to manipulate it and may lose voting privileges if they do.
Anyone who attempts to manipulate it is gonna come under scrutiny as every last vote is gonna be critiqued.
Honestly I can see the case of either side, I really can.
Its just that in reality as a fan I wanna see the best game possible and I know what that would be, OSU-Mich. That spread would be 3 1/2 or 4(OSU favored) if its Florida its gonna be 9-10.
Florida simply doesnt have the strength or size or skill players to match up with OSU. Takes size to match size on the lines at the college level. In the pros yeah, a speedier better coached team can beat size and strength, but not in college.

Assuming my computer projections are correct that means Michigan needs to be 48 points ahead in the Harris Poll to get #2 in the BCS. They were ahead by 86 points in that poll last week.

skippy3481 12-03-2006 01:56 PM

dont see it happening. So much for a decent championship game.

looks like it's official...I can't believe that journalists would put this out without having a solid source.
